Funeral Services for April Lockett will be held on Saturday 11:00 am March 29, 2025  Victory Catheral  COGIC  3407 N Westmoreland Dallas Tx 75212. 

APRIL LOCKETT was born February 24, 1965, in Dallas, Texas, the youngest child of Octavia Kamanda and Skylar Lockett. April attended John L. Leffore in Mobile, Alabama,  in 1985.  Two of April's greatest events in her life were the birth of her son, Terrance L. Lockett, and daughter, Eyeisha S. Lockett, and raising her son through marriage, Melvin Lofton.  She raised her children with her loving husband of 38 years, Melvin Lofton.  

She precedid in death by her mother, Octavia Kamamda; father, Skylar Lockett; and brother, Demetrius Johnson.  The Contagious smile she wore will forever be a symbol of remembrance for the loved ones who will continue to cherish her memory:  her devoted husband, Melvin Lofton; children, Terrance Lockett (Chamarra Lockett), daughter, Eyeisha Lockett, and stepson, Melvin Thompson (Shunta Thompson); brothers, Spurgeon Barret (Gala Barret), Avreston Lockett, and Preston Johnson (Joy Johnson); grandcheldren, Shia Thompson, Tea'Mayia Lockett, Terrance Lockett, Jr., Melvin Thompson, Jr., Octavia Lockett, Damarcus Thompson, Jr., Damir Thompson, Te'Airre Lockett, and Honor Thompson; as well as many nieces, nephew, other extended family, and friends.
